ABOUT
I am a Staff Product Designer specializing in AI product strategy and system-level architecture. With 10+ years of experience across the U.S. and Korea, I focus on bridging the gap between complex LLM capabilities and intuitive, structured consumer UX.
At KAYAK, I led the 0-to-1 design of the company’s AI assistant and refined Stays search. Previously, I shaped core experiences for 35M+ MAU products at NAVER, including its flagship AI translator Papago.
Beyond the screen, I act as a multiplier for design teams—authoring a prototyping guidebook and driving AI-powered workflows to accelerate organizational velocity.

KAYAK AI Search: System & Strategy
KAYAK • 2024 - Present
I spearheaded the 0-to-1 product vision, system architecture, and interaction models for KAYAK’s conversational AI assistant.
Moving beyond standalone features, I designed a scalable hybrid interaction system. This framework enabled core verticals—Flights, Stays, Cars, and Packages—to adopt consistent AI behaviors, ultimately becoming the foundational architecture for KAYAK’s company-wide AI roadmap.

Papago AI Translate
I led the mobile design for Papago, Korea’s leading AI translation service with 20M+ monthly users. I set the product direction for its next-generation experience and defined the early concept and structure for its education-focused features.
I also built the mobile design system, redesigned foundation surfaces, and delivered new iOS widgets used by millions.

Beyond the Screen
I treat new technology as a playground, frequently building side projects like interactive AI family trees. I also love sharing what I figure out along the way. I’ve authored a Framer prototyping guidebook and given guest lectures on AI product development at SVA in New York.
I also value endurance and teamwork. Running marathons taught me the importance of pacing. On weekends, I trade my laptop for a baseball glove to help coach my son's Little League team. Whether I'm mentoring designers in the studio or guiding young players on the diamond, my focus is always on helping the team move forward.
